Bridal Shower Favors

By Kathy Forcey

Although it is customary to present guests with bridal shower favors in most of the countries and cultures all over the world, one can not help to notice the questions that keeps on arising regarding bridal shower favors. Most people are of the opinion that presenting guests with bridal shower favors is out dated, seeing that favors will be presented at the wedding reception, and that is enough.

The thought of a bridal shower favor is to thank those who attend, for taking the time out to attend your bridal shower. There are much more to bridal shower favors than just being another gift or novelty! Bridal shower favors need to have an element of fun, have some sort of resemblance to the theme of the wedding and with a touch of class above all to remind guests of the bridal shower of the time shared for a long time to come.

It is heart warming to see the smiles on the guests' faces when discovering the favor that you present them with. Bridal shower favors can be a memory that will stick long after the price tag and physical exertion you had to put up with has disappeared. This is more so if you kept a favor or two yourself and know the emotions running through you every time you hold it in your hand or lay your eyes on it.

With so many bridal shower favors to choose, where or how does one get started? A good place to start is with your budget first before anything else. If you will entertain 30 guests at the bridal shower and need to provide a favor to each of them at $4 a piece you will be spending $120 dollars on the favors alone.

One idea for a bridal shower favor that happens to be a favorite favor is a key ring. A clear customable key ring can be used where a photo of the soon to be bride are attached and a personal message on the reverse side of the photo. This will surely keep the memories of the bridal shower lingering. If this is not to your liking, you can make your choice out of thousands of different colors and designs to suit your preferences.

Very, very few people do not like chocolate and hardly any other sweets can compare to the decadent delight of a neatly dressed up piece of chocolate! Picture a medium sized chocolate heart filled with sweet caramel wrapped in shimmering cellophane tied with a golden satin ribbon. Who can resist such a bridal shower favor?

One of the best and most cost effective ideas is to get miniature potted plants from your nursery. Write down clear instructions on how to replant the miniature plant into a bigger pot and attach it on the ribbon that holds together the cellophane around the miniature plant. Guests will be able to cherish this favor for years to come. - 30241
