Lose Weight With Exercise Plus Optimum Diet

By Kathy Q James

Right now in the United States obesity and being overweight has reached just about epidemic proportions. Our lifestyles are deskbound and we eat too many nutritionally empty foods in the Standard American Diet. We don't work out enough and we eat too much.

Our ancestors needed to change in such a way as to ensure continued existence. Therefore our bodies easily save fat and energy in order to protect us from the times of deprivation. These days the only shortage that we ever experience is the self-imposed famines that we live through when we go on a restrictive diet.

However, our bodies cannot tell between between a shortage and a limiting diet. We start dieting and our biology sabotages us by slowing down our metabolism and conserving every little bit of fat and energy that it can. That is one reason why our dieting efforts get more and more grueling with every consequent diet.

The solution to the difficulty may be as simple as to discontinue the diet roller-coaster and start eating. In other words, begin working with your normal biology and begin eating the way your body was designed to eat.

It is more than just starting to eat again, however. The Standard American Diet, which is also known by the fitting acronym SAD greatly contributes to obesity and being fat. The cause why is that our bodies were never intended to consume the bad for you, nutritionally bankrupt and processed foods that are so abundant in our society.

Human beings were designed to eat the obviously nutritious, good for you foods from nature. This earth that we live on provides the foods that are optimal for our bodies counting fruits, vegetables, whole grains and even fish and lean meats. The less processed and more natural a food is the healthier and more wholesome it is for our bodies.

Human beings are also designed to be in motion, keep fit and be dynamic. Our ancestors did not lead the deskbound lives that many of us have today. They were moving about, up and around as part of the course of their lives. Achieving optimum health and losing weight for good requires both exercise and optimum diet.

Combating obesity, losing weight for good and creating optimum physical condition starts with including the healthiest foods in nature into your diet and incorporating an exercise strategy into your life. You will see the results and your body will thank you. - 30241
